The Bangladeshi wedding spans five to seven events. The groom changes for every one. Get the sequence right and the photo album builds itself.
Gaye holud
Marigold yellow silk panjabi, heavy floral embroidery, white churidar. This is the day you can be loud — it's expected.
Mehendi night
Sage green or dusty pastel kurta, ivory pyjama, soft leather juti. Lighter than holud, softer than reception.
Akhd / Nikah
Cream sherwani with subtle gold thread work, churidar, embroidered juti. Topi optional but classic. This is the formal contract — dress accordingly.
Reception
Tailored three-piece — navy, deep maroon or charcoal. This is the only event where Western formalwear outperforms traditional. Custom tailoring is non-negotiable.
Walima
